How we ensure fairness and transparency
Funding is open to all adult social care employers who are registered with us (to register please telephone the Brokerage). We have a finite amount of funding each year and as such ensure that all organisations, big or small, have the opportunity to claim funding.
Funding is distributed on a first come first served basis. You, as the employer, will choose a training provider from our list of quality monitored providers, and pay the provider directly for the course. You then claim course units back from us as and when they are completed.
In the situation where more units are claimed for than we have allocation to pay we will prioritise to ensure fairness. The following list is in priority order:
- Employers who have registered with us at the start of the year advising us of their training requirements will be paid first
- Employers whose candidates have met their unit completion dates will be given priority over late units
- Employers who have already claimed 30 units in any financial year will not be paid for further units unless our total allocation for funding has not been spent
We will always discuss any problems with candidates who are struggling to hit deadlines and where there are special circumstances we will make exceptions on an individual basis.
Micro employers and direct payment recipients can access our funding in a different way. Please see the
Direct Payments page for details.
