QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care

QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services replaces and combines the level 4 NVQ Leadership and Management in Care Services and level 4 NVQ Health and Social Care qualifications to offer a hybrid qualification.

The new combined qualification will have the same mandatory units across what used to be two separate qualifications. There is the option of six pathways offering individuals the opportunity to tailor the qualification to their job role:

•    Management of Adult Services
•    Management of Adult Residential Services
•    Practice in Adult Services
•    Management of Children and Young People's Services
•    Management of Children and Young People's Residential Services
•    Practice in Children and Young People's Services

There will be opportunities for progression from the HSC Senior Practitioner to a Management role ensuring no duplication. This qualification is shared between the adults and children's sectors in England.

Level 5  Leadership for Health and Social Care Qualification structure

Learners must complete a total of 80 credits to complete the qualification
